With the rumors going around that Black Mesa will soon have a Steam release, I decided to replay through all classic Half-Life games to get as much lore as I can. During this playthroughs, I stumbled across Half-Life: Decay who's story is actually considered as Canon by Valve.

Its not the best Half-Life game but its still part of the Half-Life saga and I just wanted to share it.

Decay was made by Gearbox Software along side Valve, this OFFICIAL game (not just a mod) details the story of Gina Cross (the hologram lady from the tutorial) and Colette Green who were both task to deliver the Yellow Crystal to Gordon Freeman in the test chamber in the beginning of Half-Life 1. (You can see Gina Cross pushing the Crystal in a security camera when playing as Barney in Blue Shift)

Half-Life Decay according to reviews was an average game at best, however, Its the FIRST AND ONLY Half-Life game to be fully designed for COOP but PC gamers were denied playing it when it was released as a Console Exclusive (PS2).

Although Gearbox successfully created a port of the game for a PC release, it never saw the light of day "due to powers beyond Gearbox's Control" which prompted some dedicated fans to make a PC FAN PORT. As far as I could tell, this Fan Made Port was even approved by the Gearbox Development Team that made the Original PS2 game. "no intention to fox the project"

I was excited to play this hidden Half-Life Story so I visited their website but to my dismay, the tutorial on how to install the game were all out of date (2008) and because Steam had already undergone several updates since then some of these guides were obsolete. With this, I went through dozens of articles and after several hours, I was able to get the game working on my PC both in Singleplayer Mode and ONLINE COOP MODE.

Nice. Now if only my Half Life disc could pick up that I HAVE A TEMP FOLDER!!! IT SAYS I DON'T HAVE ONE. Any help?

"Acquire" a green version(that does not need install).

Anyone who has a sister hates the fact that his sister isn't Kasugano Sora.
Anyone who does not have a sister hates the fact that Kasugano Sora isn't his sister.
I'm not insulting anyone; I'm just being condescending. There is a difference, you see...

Awesome. Could we play this game together? I have it on Steam, my profile is Sandy Bridge.
