turning computer on with a Controller

Hey guys,

I was wondering about using my steambox entirely with a controller, so I looked up and saw no answers to get it working, so I thought if anyone knew if there's no way to get it working without a mod, maybe I could mod the controller to have a ir sender in the controller go off when I press the home button, but I don't know if it's possible, anyone know if it's possible
