Chrome Thumbnail Gray?

Hi, 

 

I was casually browsing chrome when the thumbnails in the new tab page were looking weird. I uninstalled chrome and upon reinstalling it worked for 5 seconds and went back. I have no addition extensions installed on chrome except adblock. 

 

 

Also I do apologize if this post is in the wrong section.
