Android stuck on boot logo animation

I just installed CWM (Clockword Mod Recovery) and was booting into recovery mode, but my Optimus 4x is now stuck in an endless boot logo animation. I have tried booting into safe mode but for some reason holding the power and volume up buttons at the same time does not actually do anything, which means I can't get into safe mode... can someone please help with this issue? I really need my phone to work as soon as possible. Thanks!

That mean you have brick phone.You must install stock rom again using recovery mode [ press power button+volume down at same time]

How do I get the stock ROM? And how do I keep all of my data?

No it could actually be that you need to wipe the dalvik cache and the cache. Do that and see what happens.

No it could actually be that you need to wipe the dalvik cache and the cache. Do that and see what happens.

There is no option to wipe dalvik cache, just cache partition and nv partition

Since I cannot do anything on the phone itself, is there a way to force the phone into safe mode using ADB? That was I can uninstall CWM and hopefully get my phone working as usual.

Could you tell me exactly what you did to root your phone (links to guides are fine)? Also, I must say, I've rooted a couple of phones (Desire HD and One X), but I'm no expert and I may not be able to come up with a solution. I'll try :)

I fixed it by connecting it to the PC Suite and doing a complete software restore, but now I've lost all my data :(

I remember manually copying every single folder from my phone to the computer a month ago but I deleted that folder from the recycle bin. Does anyone know a way to recover an entire deleted folder?

You can recover a permanently deleted folder from your computer, but it is so incredibly hard and so unlikely to work, I might as well say you can't. Well, at least you've got your phone working.
