I built my brother a computer to enter  him into the world of pc gaming, but it will not turn on

Here are the specs

Windows 8.1

Seaggate barracuda 1 tb

nzxt phantom 410

Msi AM3+ DDR3 2133 motherboard with red and black finish

r9 270x

Corsair cx600m

Amd fx 6300

8 gigs of hyper x fury ram

So, here is what is happening. I will turn on the computer, and all the LEDs and fans turn on, then they will occasionally turn off then spin up at fool speed and lower back down, rinse and repeat. The keyboard backlight keeps flashing on and off and it will not connect to a monitor so I can't connect to the bios or anything to fix it.

I was informed by my old post that  the power delivery system was messed up and to replace my power supply. Well I have done that and I still have the same problem. I could really use some help guys.. I've spent weeks on this build.. Thanks

Well I've run into this problem twice. On a PC I built for my friend, it was a bad PSU, and for me it was because my RAM was running at the wrong speed.

So unless it's a short or something isn't plugged in properly, I have nothing else to suggest :/ good luck

I've already replaced one mobo, an asrock extreme4.. Could there be a component inside my computer killing the motherboards or am I just having bad luck?

You are using standoffs right? Otherwise, I guess it could be the power supply or more likely bad luck, I once ordered four motherboards for a class I did and two were broken so it's pretty common
