Update or not?

Dis

Just sent for an AsRock z77 extreme4 1155 motherboard to replace my dead board. Is there any reason to update the bios, was reading past forums saying some video cards weren't being recognized.

Plan on using a gtx 970.

Do I need to update to install win 8?

try it before and see if everything works ok. I always say only update the bios if it fixes a known issue. So many posts on here of a bios update fucking something up and they updated for no reason other then for the sake of doing it.
