Setting up Eyefinity

So after watching this video 

too set up Eyefinity on 3 monitors I picked up one of the adapters like the he recommends in the video, except when ever I try to set up Eyefinity all but 1 of my monitors are normal size while the other decides to shrink itself down to something like 640x480 resolution. Not only that but if I do manage to some how find the next button only 1 monitor is turned on, I get a message saying you created 0 displays with () so I'm really confused I don't know if I need to select the monitor that has the displayport connection on for my main screen or what?. Would like any advice I can get on this thanks
