Might want to consider building a cheap x99 computer. You wanted to be able to upgrade in the future, x99 is the way to go.

X99 does offer a longer CPU upgradability life span but realistically for £1k it's probably more important to spend on more/better gpu's/more HDD/SSD space. Just my opinion tho

About $100 over your budget, but this will hold you over for a long while, I'd upgrade the GPU and HDD first. I wanted to add a 970 in there, but some good looking ones were too expensive, only the crappy looking ones are cheap (figures). This can upgrade a ton in the future.

I don't know if you will like this because the gpu is weak. You will only need to upgrade the gpu and hdd at some point, mobo, case, ram, psu, cpu, cpu cooler etc. you won't need to upgrade since they are all very good products and I left a bit of headroom. The enthoo pro is really great for water cooling.
