The poll says it all. Any suggestions would be great. Everything but the hyper 212 EVO cost about $50, the EVO costs $30. Something I forgot to mention.

Thanks,

the Dark knight II is a really good choice if you're planning on overclocking from what I've seen but if you're not going to overclock much go with the one that cost less money.

CPU: Intel Xeon E3 1230 v2 | GPU: evga 670 sc+ 4gb | RAM: 2x4gb corsair xms3 | Mobo: ASRock P67 Extreme 4 gen3| PSU: 850w XFX | Sound card: Creative Sound Blaster Audigy SE | Case: CM HAF XM | SSD: Plextor M5S 128gb | HDD: 2x1tb seagate

Personally, when I select a CPU cooler, I'm just looking for something that's an improvement over the stock cooler, which describes just about everything. After that, it's mostly a matter of aesthetics. If aesthetics is as much a factor for you as it is for me, go for the Phanteks.

Well I am building an ugly computer since I do not have the money to pick parts that look good together.

  • 1 year later...

Got it, used it....now it's on my kid's 6300 build. The Xigmatek DK2 that is.....great cooler in the 120mm flavor. PLUS...it's downright sexy!!! Dumped the stock fan and went with Akasa Apache's....better fans overall.
