To start off, my PC doesn't POST3 weeks ago. I troubleshooted it first with my spare PSU's and tried taking off all the RAM sticks and GPU. They all had the same results. No POST. So I took the motherboard to a Gigabyte service center to try and fix the problem.

After 2 weeks, they gave back my motherboard. They replaced the VRM Cores and the 8pin power connector as they were shorting out. After placing all the components back, it still does the same thing so I thought that it was the Processor now. The motherboard may have fried the Processor because of the VRM Cores that were unstable.

I contacted Intel and they approved my RMA. I received my brand new processor and excitedly placed all of the components in. It POST and boots up BUT it suddenly shuts down 10 seconds after startup.

I am very pissed. It's been 3 weeks of waiting and waiting.

Can anyone tell me what's going on?

Do you have an OS installed on your hard drive?

If so, can you verify it works on another laptop or PC? Sounds like the boot partition was removed or corrupted.

I think it's not corrupted as I still was able to open up chrome and browse for about 5 seconds then it just suddenly shuts down.

I'll give it a try on my laptop though

are the specs right in your footer?

Yes they are.

Oh yeah then seems fine, might have to do with temps too, check your temps through the bios and reset the bios.

The CPU temps are at 40C stable in the BIOS. What's weird is that it doesn't suddenly shut down while it's in the BIOS even though I've been running it for 10 minutes already in there.

I get similar issues like this at work and I always think its the HDD or The Image on it but every time it ends up being the mother board which would suck in your case.

If re-imagining it dose not fix the problem you might want to look into getting a new board.

That's weird. Must be something to do with your drive.

Try taking your laptop hard drive out and plugging it in, if the computer works without shutting down on your laptops drive, you may have to scan your other drive for malware.

Could be a driver issue too though.

I'm using my SSD on my spare laptop right now. It's working pretty well for 2 hours now.

your power supply isn't good enough to run the machine........... just my guess. and/or both of the supplies are bad..... and/or you need to buy a better, more reliable power supply............ quality supply.

how's it run if you remove the gpu and run off the on board?

Oh.. I forgot to update my PSU here on LTT. I'm currently using an EVGA SuperNova 850W G2. I also tested it on a CoolerMaster Extreme 500watt. When I took out the GPU and run off the board, it does the same thing.

could be lack of power to the board ( bad board ) could still be the board.

Is the heatsink properly installed?

what kind of heat sink are you using?

what kind of thermal paste are you using?

have you tried resetting the cmos?

what BIOS does the board have?

Yes, I even tried touching the heat pipes. they are getting warm.

I use a DeepCool Z5 thermal paste. (It was the only one available)

The CPU temps are at a stable 39-41C so it can't be bad contact. It runs the BIOS for 1 hour fine without any hiccups but when I go to windows, it dies.

I also tried to use my SSD in my laptop. It works and I got it to run for 2 hours until I got bored

I have tried resetting/reseating CMOS.

Not sure what you're asking here but if it's the version, it's F7

when you're idle in the BIOS you're not going to pick up heat. you need to be stressing your machine.

what cpu cooler are you using?

I have a Coolermaster 212 Evo. I never had thermal problem in my PC. Also, this is a brand new RMA'd processor. I just got it 3 days ago.
