Hello 

Is a disc drive still needed?

Just wondering as my case doesn't have one in my current build

Honestly this pc is mostly for gaming

 

would a £20 eternal be just as good?

 

Mostly for installing games like watchdogs off disc i have

 

and intalling motherboard divers from the box

Externals work just aswell if you want a clean look.
 

I only have an internal for ripping music, DVD's and some blu rays

It's only needed if you want one. Some cases dont have spaces and you'll have to rely upon externals for those.

I will do that

My only problem is I wanted the 200r which takes up less desk space and has 5.25 bays

But the core v21 allows better watercooling and looks better
