So I'm doing a new build for a friend and I'm not perfectly sure which power supply to choose.

I'm using a NZXT H440 so it doesn't need to be modular. It got to power an i5 4690k and a (probably EVGA) GTX 970, both will be overclocked. The budget max is 70€ for the PSU.

If you wan't to see what the pricing is in my region, click here: https://www.caseking.de/shop/catalog/Power-Supplies/PSUs-to-800-W:::30_10195.html?filter=price:49,80&language=en&sort=price_asc

The largest PSU I'd go for with those components in mind would be about 450-500 watts. EVGA has one of their bronze-rated PSU's on that website. Worth taking a look at.

You mean this?

The 600W version costs only 3€ more

That's the one.

It's up to you to go for the 600w one. I doubt the system will ever use that much power, though.

EVGA's offerings on that website are quite overpriced compared to some other better options that are in the price range.

EVGA and Rosewill are the only brands I've used for PSU's, and I've liked EVGA's more, so that's why I recommended it. I haven't used Antec's PSU's so I wasn't sure.

Antec doesn't make their own PSUs, but they are rebrands of other brand's PSUs. Same with EVGA and Rosewill.

However while the EVGA 500B/600B are HEC-built power supplies, the Antec Neo ECO is a Seasonic-built power supply based on the S12II platform, which has been proven to be more reliable and better-built using higher-quality components then the HEC platform of the EVGA power supplies. Better components, better voltage regulation, more stable ripple suppression, everything you'd want to look for in PSU performance rating is better on the Antec.

The only disadvantage of the Antec is the aesthetics, it looks uglier. But this isn't an issue since the H440 has a PSU cover.

Antec has been for a long time now a known maker of quality power supply units. Since you live in a place where the Neo Eco is cheaper then the EVGA x00B then it's definitely a no-brainer to go with the Antec.

@Domifi If you are able to buy from one of these stores, I would recommend the Antec VP550P. It's a solid Delta-build unit with independent regulation. Although it is on the loud side.

A few other good options that may be good that offer indy / DC-DC regulation and modularity are (not sure about the Integra in regards to noise, but the GM is pretty quiet especially at low to mid loads):

The Cooler Master G550M: http://geizhals.eu/de/cooler-master-g550m-550w-atx-2-31-rs-550-amaa-b1-a1010360.html?hloc=at&hloc=de&hloc=pl&hloc=uk&hloc=eu

and

Fractal Design Integra M 550w: http://geizhals.eu/de/fractal-design-integra-m-550w-atx-2-4-fd-psu-in3b-550w-a1147735.html?hloc=at&hloc=de&hloc=pl&hloc=uk&hloc=eu

It's a good, entry level unit and would power your listed setup. If you are able to find the one of the units I had mentioned from where you are buying from, do considered them. Quite honestly, I would say they are better than the Seasonic S12II-B unit that the Neo Eco is based off of.
