Hi there,

I rebuilt my GF computer with my old parts: Cpu/mobo/ram and gpu. It was an old Hp prebuild running on DDR2 ram and an AMD 64 something...

I think the PSU isnt strong enough because the computer shuts down everytime I launch Portal2.

the psu model info or watt arent visible, might have to remove it to see the only side not visible.

the "new parts" are Amd Athlon x2 250 with a micro atx mobo asrock n68 something, 4 gb DDR3 and Zotac Gtx 650ti 2gb.

as long as its not under load, its fine.

is, perhaps, the new hardware to much consuming for that poor old psu?

there is an old white computer collecting dust, ill see if I can salvage the psu. ill update later this afternoon.

Thank you for your time.

may your framerates be high and your temperatures be low. #pcmr

The Raidmax RX-730-SS is a 730W PSU which is more than enough wattage.

I would recommend upgrading or replacing the PSU to see if the issue still occurs.

the raidmax is my psu. and was running those parts fine.

I swamp the parts into the Hp prebuilt my GF have. but I didnt change the PSU.
