ASRock FM2A75 Pro4 and Arctic Freezer A11 cooler riser issue

So recently I purchased an Arctic Freezer A11 CPU Cooler to go with my ASRock FM2A75 Pro4 motherboard and AMD A10-6800K processor.

 

I ran into issues very soon after attempting to assemble my new rig

Motherboard: ASRock2A75 Pro-4

CPU: AMD A10 6800K

Cooler: ARCTIC Freezer A11

RAM: G. Skill Sniper 9 CL @ 1600mhz (2x 8gb)

Power supply: Xion 850 watt 80 plus bronze fully modular

Video Card: Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970

 

My problem was that in the installation guide for the ARCTIC Cooler it relied on things I didn't have, these strange riser tube things. (Probably meant to be attached to backplate or mobo, not sure).

So in order to mount the ARCTIC Cooler at the right height you need to be able to put plastic spacers over these tubes; but mine were missing.

I tried using the thumb screws I got stock with the backplate/mobo instead of the plastic risers but they were too tall.

I then tried to use some screws I had laying around, but the head was too large to fit the spacer on.
I also tried going to the hardware store, and they had two screw head sizes I could find for this screw I needed, one fit in the spacer and one did not. However, this screw, as it turns out, the head was not large enough to keep it in the motherboard. (It falls right through with some wiggling).

 

My dilemma now is, what can I do from here? I am thinking I go to the hardware store and get some washers, but I still don't understand why I don't have these mystical riser things.

I thought the same when I installed mine but you actually have to press down a little bit the motherboard and these little tubes will rise up and you could easily place your tubes and screw the mount. Thing is I've installed this cooler and it's hotter than my stock AMD (shitty) cooler... I have no clue what to do.

I think you need to use some kinda mobo back-plate...
