I have some Corsair Vengence 1600mhz ram and i currently have it running at 2000Mhz with 1.65V and 11, 11, 11, 26 timings. Does this look good to anyone who knows how to overclock ram. If you don't know how dont try and give advice I want to know from someone who actually has done it and has stable oc.

In the real world memory frequency makes very little difference unless you are using special software that can utilize the bandwidth.

best advice is to run at stock voltage frequency and timings.

I on the other-hand am a megahertz junkie. I prefer to run my ram at higher frequency and looser timings, with more volts applied.

I've always wanted to get the most out of the hardware that I buy, so I try to find the best balance of timings with the memory frequency. Overclocking, I use winrar to benchmark any gains that I get out of different configurations and stick to the one with the best performance. As with prokon, frequency is first, then I go for timings.

In my experience, you really need to get the CPU completely rock solid before working on memory timings because CPU errors show up in memory tests as well. Usually around 50 rounds of IBT at standard works well enough. More would obviously be better but I found that to be enough as long as you're not running 24/7. Good luck!
