Hi guys I just got a new desktop with a network card 10/100. I was wondering what this means and my speed on the desktop is slower than my laptop why? Is there something wrong with my network card? Do I need to change it if I want to get faster speeds? And please explain wireless adapters. I have no clue I just want my internet speed to be faster on my desktop.

I actually couldn't underclock my 5 year old GPU to make it as slow as a next-gen console.

It means it can handle 100Mbit connection, whats your internet speed. Run a speedtest.

10/100? Tell me more about how behind you are.

You're probably going to want to get a Gigabit ethernet card (they're not that expensive). What speeds are you paying for and what are you getting via Speedtest?

If I get a gigabit ehternet card, do I need to take out me 1/100 card an replace it? This is my speedtest btw. ping: 13 ms download speed6.75 mbps upload speed: 4.35 mbps And im not using an ethernet cable. my desktop is connected wirelessly to my router

He doesn't have a 10/100 NIC, he PMed me with his specs and he has a 4690k which definitely means he has a 1Gbit NIC.
