So hey everyone, this is my first time building a PC, can't wait to get started! I was using /r/buildapc to help me set up a good system. Someone suggested I post here before buying just to make sure everything is in order. The extend of my build knowledge is replacing a graphics card (probably the easiest step?)

Location is USA ($USD), no Microcenters near me. Here are the parts I've picked:

CPU: Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($317.75 @ OutletPC)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H110 94.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler  ($99.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: MSI Z97-G45 Gaming ATX LGA1150 Motherboard  ($137.95 @ NCIX US)
Storage: Crucial MX100 256GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($104.99 @ SuperBiiz)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($344.00 @ NCIX US)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GB Twin Frozr V Video Card (2-Way SLI)  ($344.00 @ NCIX US)
Case: Corsair 750D ATX Full Tower Case  ($119.99 @ Newegg)

I've never touched watercooling before. I prefer a closed loop (is that the correct term) system, because, as a college student, I'll be going from the dorms and to my home a few times a year, and its simply more convenient to not have to drain it.

Some other questions: Where can I get once of those anti-static rings, so that when I build, I don't zap anything? Also, do I need any tools other than some screwdrivers to put everything together?

Are there any parts that have bad reviews that I should avoid? The only part on here that kept with what I originally chose is the CPU. Reddit eventually decided to change everything else.

Also, 970's in SLI is probably overkill for me (3 monitors @ 1080p, only gaming on one, using the other two for multi-tasking), but for the price point, there's no reason not to I suppose. I'd love to eventually sell two of my monitors and buy two more (of the same brand as the third; at the moment, I messed up and have 3 monitors, 3 different models/brands) to game on all 3 at once, but for now, just one.

I will game  a lot, but also work on it as well (video rendering, modeling, heavy coding) so that's why I have an i7 and 16GB of RAM. I'm a data hoarder with over 500 games on steam, so 6TB is not really overkill for me (sadly lol). Also, if there are any suggestions on an ac wireless adapter to use (college dorms change yearly, and some don't have ethernet ports (IK, R?!), I'd love to hear it.

Thanks for the help!

Shaved off a few bux. Case is a little better I think. Also changed the GPU's because they're slightly cheaper and come from the same retailer that the HDD's are being sold by.
