popping noise

i have a sound blaster z and a maximus vii formula with raid 1 active with 2 hdd, also i tb ssd and a 240gb ssd ssd an dvd drive

32gb ram

 

when i sit the soundblaster card in the slot above the gpu i get a poping noise every minute or two

but when i move it to the pci 16x asmedia controlled slot it goes away

Some kind of interference, possibly power spikes or EMI from the GPU. If it works in the other slot, might as well leave it there if you can. Alternative is going to be an external DAC.
