So recently my brand new pair of Razer Kraken Chroma's have been making a popping noise when listening to stuff.  The sound will randomly go away for like 0.1 seconds then it will make a sort of cracking sound (for just like 0.1seconds and then it will continue like normal.  This may be a coincidence but this started happening right after I defragged my disk.  Do you think this is something on hardware or software?  If it is software how do I fix it.  If it is hardware should I contact newegg or Razer?

For RGB gaming headsets, I have a hunch Corsair is the way to go.

Indeed, but if one is extremely interested in the concept, and they didn't mind paying more money to have flashy lights on a headset, Corsair would be the way to go.
