Unremarkable Laptops?

Evening folks, my name is Grey.

 

My friend is a writer / momperson (if that matters) and she wants a laptop that..

 

  • Is fast enough to watch videos / play music
  • durable
  • has a lot of storage for pictures and videos
  • "suitable for travel"
  • will last a long time

 

My other friend says "anything with an i5 will suit her needs", but I'd like something a little less vague. She's a traveling journalist and wants something that'll stand the test of time while being comfortable to travel with and type on.

 

Any suggestions?

She's willing to drop 1k on the laptop, but I'm sure she' like to spend far less than that.

 

So anything with an i5 will work? All she wants to do is type, listen to music, watch netflix and the like.
