I had this problem on my old PC I had to install the AMD Audio drivers that came on my video card disk to fix it, I to this day don't really know why the AMD Video card even had options for Audio Drivers but it worked once I installed them,

I think it had something to do with the fact that I was running the PC via a TV Display not a standard PC Monitor, but that is only a stab in the dark as to why

Thanks guys! I've managed to fix the issue. A reboot seemed to fix it. I've liked your posts so that it contributes to your total likes count.
