I don't know what's going on...

Tweety

I'll be playing a game, and then my screen will go black, and my sound will go all robotic slow mo, and then my computer will restart itself. I think it could be a faulty card. I have a GTX 580 btw.

Happened to me today with my 7870. Up'd the voltage and haven't had the problem since. It's only been a few hours though...

Well I wish I could do that. I'm already overclocked to 920 core at 1150mv...

This happened to my old graphics card, 9500gs. After heavy gaming the screen would turn off, and the audio lag up. It turns out my graphics card was overheating, due to the fan giving up.

Removing the card won't tell you much it could be the driver hanging the card causing a system crash overheating or unstable system he needs to give full stats.

What Game? I was getting this problem with Farcry 3. For me it was a power issue with the GPU not receiving enough power. So as Wats said try giving it a bit more power using something like MSI Afterburner. See what happens.
