so I was wondering if the asus rog x99 motherboard can run mac os Yosemite? if so would it be easy to install and how?

I doubt it. Macs don't use X99 at all so there's little chance Mac OS will have any drivers for any X99 hardware. That doesn't mean its not possible but it does mean hours more work and the likelyhood that it will never be 100% feature complete or stable.

If your on here asking how its done I'm gonna suggest you really shouldn't bother, its quite easy with native hardware but venture outside of that and it becomes very tricky very quickly often with little or no help available to you.

Also ftr it requires a working Mac to start the process.
