Hi, I'm new to this forum, and I'm planning to build a PC; my very first actually. I'm very excited, but I need feedback on this build before I begin buying stuff. Would appreciate your suggestions and tips! Thanks!

  Here are the specs:

 ASUS GTX770

 -MSI ATX DDR3 2133 Motherboard
-Seagate Barracuda 3TB  hard drive
-CS Series™ 550 Watt - power supply
-Intel 120 GB 530 SSD

Also, would this build run most of the games out there on high settings? Say...MMO type of games?

. I still haven't decided on the case yet, so feel free to suggest any, and if there are cheaper products than the ones I chose.

Whats your location and budget? and do you need an OS, peripherals, monitor, etc?

You should get an R9 280x, R9 290, or GTX970 instead of a 770.

For a case...

NZXT Source 210, S340, H440

Phanteks Enthoo Pro

Corsair 450D, 650D, 230T, 760T, 300R, 200R, Air540

What cpu are you getting/which motherboard is that?

Also, don't pay extra for "faster" ram, as you won't notice a difference.

My budget in around 700 to 1,000. GTX970 is a bit overprice. I'm getting a Windows 8.1 OS,  I already have the monitor and peripherals taking care of.

Is there a difference in performance in those other graphics cards? Do they perform better for a cheaper price?

I'm thinking of getting this cpu:
Intel Corei5-4590

Thanks for the feedback! I'm new to this building process, and I want to get everything right before I start spending.

$700-$1000 USD? and is windows included in that 700-1000?

The 970 is faster, cooler, and more efficient than a R9 290, which is faster than an R9 280x, which is faster than a 770, which is faster than an R9 280. The GTX960 is probably going to be released within the very soon future (based on some of the recent JayzTwoCents videos, I think he has a 960 video waiting for NDA to clear), as will the R9 300 series, although the 300 series is (likely) further out than the 960. (The 960 will presumably be similar in performance to an R9 280x/GTX770, but be more efficient and cooler.

And I'd rather get an i5-4440/4460 instead of a 4590 and put the extra money towards a GTX970.

Yes, U.S dollars. The OS is not included in this budget. Okay, other than what you are suggesting to acquire, are the other parts that I chose going to cause problems? Like the motherboard or power supply?

Thanks again for your feedback!

I don't know what motherboard you're looking at, and I also consider the CS series to be an awkward psu choice as there are cheaper more budget oriented psu options for quite a bit less and significantly better high end choices for the same amount more ($40~ for a budget unit, $70~ for a CS unit, $100~ for a high end unit).

That's the motherboard I'm looking at.

http://www.amazon.com/MSI-DDR3-Motherboard-970-GAMING/dp/B00LUY72F6/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421434735&sr=8-1&keywords=MSI+ATX+DDR3+2133&pebp=1421434747225&peasin=B00LUY72F6

But is the wattage enough? I'll reconsider other choices then.  Thanks again!

Get an i5-4440 + an Asus/Gigabyte/MSI/AsRock H81 board instead.

500w is enough for any single GPU (550w~ for an R9 290x) and 750w is enough for any dual GPUs (850w for 290/x).

However, two 970s can easily run on a 550w psu. So it depends which cards you go with.
