So i unplugged my router and my modem last night to clean around there also to clean up the cables since they were so scrunched up you couldn't move anything connected to them. This is where the fun starts...

I plugged everything back in correctly and all was fine until this morning/when i got home. I got home and my internet on my phone wasn't working but it was on my PC so that was weird. Next i tried to play a netflix video on my PS3 ( hard wired into router) that didn't work no internet.

So now I'm stuck with a situation where my PC can have internet and nothing else can. other devices can connect to it but they won't have internet even went plugged directly into the router over LAN. i tried factory resetting the router and upgrading its firmware and they didn't fix anything even with fresh settings its still the same. i've been trying to fix this all day and the only thing i can come up with is something is wrong with the IP settings of my modem and for some reason its only allowing me to connect online from my main PC and since i don't know the wireless password anymore and WPS doesn't work i don't know how to fix the problem since I can't access the modems settings.

PS: my modem has a router built in but its crap so i don't use it i have a separate router connected via LAN and i use that as my wireless access point since its way faster and easier to use. Also i ran the network diagnostic wizard on my other PC and it now has internet but nothing else does except my 2 PCs.

basic diagram of how my network is setup...

Also, does the router connect to the internet?  Should be able to check in the status page!

Status page doesn't show internet connectivity but i can connect to the internet through ti but only on ym 2 PCs everything else wont connect.

What modem and router do you have?

Have you tried plugging the PCs that do work into the router directly to see if they still can connect that way?

i fixed the problem, don't know how but apparently disabling all the DDOS security features and re-enabling them fixed my problem. Strange how even after a factory reset and a firmware upgrade that cleared the router there was still problems.

Anyways thanks for the help.

Those DDoS features won't even work, keep them off. DDoS protection starts at your ISP.
