Looking for Some Headphones

I am looking to buy some new headphones. My budget is about $100. I basically want something that will be very comfortable for me to use for a long time. I don't really care if they are open or closed headphones, they just have to be comfortable. If anyone has any recommendations, that would be great!

Why would you suggest those headphones? What would make them stand out compared to others?

+1 for any of the audio technicas utilizing the 3d wing system they are feather light and rest on your head with minimal pressure on the contact points. from my personal experience after a while they disappear and easy to forget you are wearing anything on your head.

from other personal experience the beyerdynamics DT series like the dt770 which I also have are famous for being comfortable but it comes with clamp design yes the pads are super awesome but it still has that clamp. but among the clamp designs it very well could be the more comfortable out of that design type.

from non personal experience the akg circumaurals like the 240 or 701 similar to the 3d wing from audio technica they'd be a combination of resting on the head and a bit of clamp

For $100, I don't think there's a more recommended pair of headphones on the internet. No personal experience with them.  As long as your head isn't too small for them they'll be comfortable for long listening, which is what you asked for. ;)

Ok, sounds good. Still would like to see some other options as well.

Those audio technicas do seem impressive, but they are pretty ugly imo...

From what I can see, they seem to be much more expensive. I don't think that they would work for me.

that still leaves the ad700 and the akg 240 in your price point

edit: the 240 is a studio monitor style with a flat sound signature the ad700 has next level, crazy soundstage to stalk your prey in FPS games.

It's got velor pads anyways, which is what I'm guessing you want, and it's not pink salmon colored.

I'dve recommended those too, but $30 over the budget. :P

Lamb, I bought V-Moda's Crossfade LP headphones when they were on sale last black friday ($75), but they're still close to your budget. Sound is pretty good and they're quite durable if you're interested in lugging some headphones around with you. I had to find the correct position on my head for them to be comfortable for long a duration (because they're both over the ear and on the ear for me depending on how I position them), but once I did it became automatic for me to put them on my head that way.

They also come in lots of colors and you can get custom backplates from V-Moda.  :)
