Hello guys,

Its my first post here, and i like to know if the akasa viper 140mm is a good option for use with my H110? If is not why?

I'm curious to know the difference between the noctua's NF-A14 FLX vs NF-A14 PWM which one is better on FULL SPEED? who has more SP??

Well i live in Brazil and this Sh** country is impossible to find good fans like Noctua or Silverstone etc.

Just find 140mm fans with 65+ CFM, under 25 dbA, and more than a 1mmH2O static pressure rating.

That's nice, but every manufacturer writes their specifications as they wish....

Some measure dBa at 1 meter, others at 2, others in a PC case, etc. Same with the rest of the specs. You can only trust dimensions and RPM from them.

Find the fans, then go get some reviews.

Unless they are all from the same standardized test the same mistake is done with the specs. Buying fans can be pretty subjective sometimes, you can't just follow a couple of specs to find what you want.

I see, your option is find ANY 140mm and hope it works as you want it to.  Nice =)

Akasa Viper is a good fan? Akasa say it have 100 cfm and 3.12 mm H2O

In case of noctua's which one is better NF-A14 FLX or NF-A14 PWM?

Both Akasa Viper and Apache are good fans; their specs are exaggerated but still they are pretty good.

From those two Noctua fans the NF-A14 PWM pack a bit more punch and feature PWM control, get those.

I will try the vipers, until i get those NF-A14 PWM.

About the fan positioning, Radiator on Top with the fans on Pull is recommended?

Personally I would flip the rear fan to be an intake so your case will be under positive pressure.

And about the dust?

I think it will be more dust inside... or not?

If you throw a cheap magnetic dust filter on the back you will get less dust accumulation than a negative pressure setup.

hmmm.. I need to read more about negative/positive case pressures

What about the SilverStone FHP141?

What about the SilverStone FHP141?

With a positive pressure setup air will blead out of all the little cracks and vents in your case, making it difficult for dust to enter from any unfiltered opening. With negative pressure air will actually be sucking into your case through all the little cracks and vents. This will naturally result in more dust build up since it is impossible to fully seal up your machine, and dust will be pulled in with the air. Linus has a video out on this topic.

As for those fans, I have never used them so I don't have any first hand knowledge on them.

With this scheme i will get a positive pressure or i need to change or add more fans?

Guys would you recommend this Cougar instead of the Akasa Viper?

I would recommend 140mm fans with square frames vs open frames like The cougar and Silverstone fans you mentioned. The best noise to performance fans you are going to find will be Noctua NF-A14 fans. They are also some of the most expensive. For a good value middle ground I would look at Phanteks PH-F140MP fans which run around ~$18 here or BitFenix Spectre Pro BFF-SPRO-P14025KK-RP which run about the same price. They are about 40% cheaper than noctuas and offer much higher RPM while still allowing good performance at low RPM. I like them because in my research they perform close to Noctua NF-A14s in temperature at similar RPM speeds. The only "cheap" but still good fan you could get under $15 I know of is probably the Rosewill Hyperborea ROCF-11003 model. They cost about $14 but still offer good performance and PWM control as well.

good luck with the search.

I am addicted to building gaming PCs but I don't have a great reason to stop...yet...

The only issue, is that in my country is impossible to find Noctua, BitFenix, Rosewill etc.. The only fans that i have seen avaliable to buy it's the Cougar i mention or Akasa Viper's. I'm starting to regret to have purchased the H110, because its more easy to find SP 120mm fan's.
