Motherboard help

Hey guys I'm having a little dilemma....

 

I have a AMD FX-8350 and a Sapphire r9 290x tri x OC plugged into a ASUS M5A97 LE R2.0 and I'm wanting to know is this MB any good for that combo? Is it holding them back? and if I was to buy something like a ASUS Sabertooth 990FX R2.0  would I get much better performance out of the cpu/gpu?

Welcome to the forum. The MB does not affect performance all that much it's more about features, therefore either would work, it's just about choosing features you feel you may need in the future (E.g. crossfire support)
