so i bought an 850 evo and ran the disk migration software to copy all files from my old pny ssd to the new one. it said to do it through a sata to usb adapter but since i didnt have that i just plugged the samsung ssd directly through sata. it worked very well and all system files were there (literally all of them), but when i try to run my pc from my new ssd it said that i dont have system 32 and the os wont run. but the system 32 folder was definitely there since i went back to double check.

how can i make my new ssd as the main OS drive??

Space Journal #1: So Apparently i  was dropped on the moon like i'm a mars rover, in a matter of hours i have found the transformers on the dark side of the moon. Turns out its not that dark since dem robots are filled with lights, i waved hi to the Russians on the space station, turns out all those stories about space finding humans instead of the other way around is true(soviet Russia joke). They threw me some Heineken beer and I've been sitting staring at the people of this forum and earth since.

Look into clonezilla.

it's simple and it will perfectly clone your drive.

Simply copying and pasting will not clone a drive.
