I bought my msi gtx 970 about a week ago, after playing some games and running some benchmarks the coil whine got even louder, even after changing my psu (from xfx xtr 650 to evga 750 G2). My gpu didn't whine in my friends build, but today it did, can't make it stop, it does even under 60fps, no v-sync helps. Really don't know what to do and I'm sad because it's annoying and I can't play any games longer than 10 mins because it's giving me headache. Now I'm wondering if it's possible to rma the card?

most manufactures will try to refuse rma-ing a card that makes noise like coil wine. unless your card has performance issues. And switching the PSU wont do a single thing. The only things you can do is place on headphones and try to ignore it. or you might be able to get a refund if you get it from newegg amazon and so on but only within 30 days. for the fps drop it might be you cpu bottleneck you gpu.
