If that model is old and does not have Win 8 drivers from Sony, then you kind of screwed up. You might need to install 7 again, but you can do so without the bloatware.

I have finally moved to a desktop. Also my guides are outdated as hell.

Try downloading the Intel HD graphics driver, but unfortunately Sony doesn't support windows 8 on that laptop, windows 7/XP only.

Just download the windows 7 driver, once you've downloaded it, right click on the installer and click on "Properties" and go to the "Compatibility" tab, and set the driver compatibility for Windows 7, then click "Apply" and "Ok", then install the driver as normal.
There is no difference between Windows 7 drivers and Windows 8 drivers, the only difference is is that older drivers don't recognise the Windows version string and won't install because it thinks it's not compatible, even though it is.

There you should find the diver you need.

If you can't find it manualy, just go for the auto detect utility and you should be fine.

Go for Win7 Driver if you cant find the right ones for Win8.

All drivers for Win7 and 8 are mostly the same anyway.
