fans wont spin

Go to solution Solved by Alec Harpers,

Connect them directly to the PSU. If they start, then you know that the fans are OK and the problem is with the mobo. Probably need to configure them from the BIOS like Godlygamer23 said. If they don't start then the problem is with the fans.

Hi, I'm halfway finished builing my PC, bying the components when I can. My Antec 1200 has now got power from my Corsair AX860 and the mobo, asus maximus vii hero seems to work fine, but when I power up the system, only the CPU fan and one other fan works. The one besides the CPU fan is whichever I plug into the "CPU_OPT". All the others which are plugged into "CHAN_FANx" won't blow/suck air. How do I make them do so?

May be a setting in the BIOS.

the system doesn't have RAM nor a HDD. It won't start.

Then you'll have to wait until you get the RAM.
