Minecraft Resolution Help

So I'm playing minecraft with shaders on my rMBP (no hate pls)  and I get terrible frames when running at fullscreen.  I realized that I was running at native res. (2880*1800) but unfortunately I can't seem to get the game to run at any lower res.  Halp pls :)

Add OptiFine if you can and see if you can detect lower usable resolutions in advanced settings.

Thnx :)  hopefully this won't be an issue after I get my eGPU working

Go to terminal and type this in: "defaults write com.apple.Finder QuitMenuItem 1", relog then quit finder and tell me how much of a difference you notice, it tends to free up alot of resources.

and obviously, get optifine and tweak the settings
