Windows 7 won't update

I re-installed Windows 7 on my computer, after having Windows Technical Preview for a while.  When I restart/shut it down, it installs 174 updates, and when it finally boots, it says "Configuring Windows Updates   0%," then it says "Failed To Configure Windows.  Reverting Changes..."  Any help is greatly appreciated!  It's Home Premium 64bit btw

If it's that many, also try sections of windows updates. Just find 20+ old ones and do it in a few blocks until everything updates successfully.
