Windows 8 hardware upgrade Question

Im building a new pc with windows 8 in about 3 weeks and i just wanted to ask if i can change motherboard without needing another product key.

no as long as you don't change the hard drive your fine 

but if you do change the hard drive you will need to reactivate using your existing key you have now
