Programs for first build?

Will be building my first build this Wednesday and was curious if there's some common programs I can download to make sure all my components are working fine and like they should? I'll be getting MSI Afterburner for my MSI GTX 970, but any others I should get? Thanks!

Get the drivers from your motherboard manufacturer's website. Get the latest GPU drivers from Nvidia/AMD's site. And finally use Ninite.com to get a clean assortment of your necessary programs. Your main priority should be to get chrome, winrar, vlc and malwarebytes.

Its an awesome website that I use all the time when installing software on a new machine.

You can click on all the programs you'd like to install and ninite gives you a tiny file to download.

Once downloaded you can run the application which then downloads all the latest versions and installs them all automatically without the horrible bloatware that comes with those programs all the time.

Thanks guys, I do have ninite already on hand ready to be used and I guess I didn't need much to test out my hardware but thanks again for the suggestions.
