Hi,

I have an Aerocool Touch 2100 fan controller and overall, I'm quite satisfied. I only have 2 issues with it.

First of all, there's no option to turn off the *beep* noise that accompanies every finger press on the touch screen. That can be easily muffled with a piece of cloth on the buzzer.

Secondly, at startup all fans are activated at full power until about 15 seconds of boot time when they ramp down at the last chosen value. That is an issue I'm still struggling with since I have a couple 3000 RPM Noctua IPPC fans that I operate around 1700 RPM. I usually don't mind the noise but at some times of the morning or night, it can be annoying.

I was wondering if anyone had experience with this controller and ideas on how it could be "tampered with" in order to have a less noisy startup.

Thanks

It might be hard coded thing since its same behaviour than with fans connected to mobo. Safety feature you might say where controller tests that fans are working. The other thing I don't know. Clip the beeber off unless you really need it for alarms. Or want to keep warranty.

Do you know of any fan controller that doesn't do that ?

All non-touch/control panel ones. I don't know if its standart thing for microcontrolled things. My old Scythe didn't do such thing and it was just basic three knob one.
