I need help chosing parts for PC.

Toxicstriker

OK guys, help my poor should please!!! I've decided its time to build PC for the first time, but I need some help with choosing some of the parts. So basically I have trouble choosing a GPU, CPU and motherboard.

I'm willing to spend 1000$ on those 3 parts(including cooling for the CPU). I want to use NZXT S340 case, as it does not have room for CD-ROM drives witch i don't use.

I have no idea what power supply i should use. I will be getting some parts from my old PC: 8gb 1600Hz Kingston RAM; 120Gb Intel 520 series SSD; 500Gb HDD.

I know I'm forgetting something so be sure to notify me of anything that bothers you :)

Thank you, for the help!

Unless he plans to do 1440p or 4K gaming that's not really worth it imo

BTW i was going to ask for that 4k gaming. Will i be able to do 4k with the setup you gave me and if not what should i change (even if it goes a little over said price).

If you want to do 4K gaming get either a 980 or dual 970's. Your probably would have to spend around $1300.

Plus the fact that the FX-6300 will bottleneck that or is that my stupidity talking?

I'm quite sure it will bottleneck, if he wants to go 4K he will need an i5

This would be a very good balance for 4K, and I'm pretty sure you won't have any bottlenecks
