Hey guys,

I'm planning on getting a new monitory but I don't know whether I should get the LG 34UM95-P or the Asus PG278Q G-Sync monitor. I am currently running a Dell U2711 monitor and I need to replace my second monitor because I am giving it away to a friend.

I will most likely use the main monitor as my main monitor if I do decide to buy either one of them but I cannot decide whether I want to get the ultra wide or the g-sync monitor. I do a lot of work on documents and editing due to the nature of my occupation so the extra space is nice but I have been spending a lot more time lately on fps games and racers. If anyone can give me their experiences with either one of these monitors in relation to colour accuracy and depth, actual useability if it is offset or if it just has terrible viewing angles, heat would also be nice is anyone knows because it is the summer where I am and the temperature is getting quite high.

I need the monitor within a week or so, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks guys

No offence and all but I already knew that.

What I was asking for is more, is the ROG Swift good enough for productivity and media or does the TN panel let it down in terms of that and whether the ultra wide is just bad at gaming due to it's weird aspect ratio.

And 4k is not really something I am willing to jump to because it just becomes too small to be productive anymore unless I'm working with media. Documents on 1440p is already hard enough to read.

acer is coming out with IPS 144 hz AVHA panel G-sync in March.  I thought about the Swift when it was becoming available but I like to watch movies sitting in a recliner back in office and would hate the colors and viewing angles of TN.  Currently using 4 year old Viewsonic 1080p

The Swift is great for productivity but the 34UM95-P is better. Ultrawide is great for gaming.

I'd suggest going with the 34UM95-P unless you are waiting for Acer's new display and potential competing price drops.
