Hi,

Good day. I would like to ask if such a thing happens? When I turn on my rig I would have no internet access (port's two corner doesn't blink). I have to power off my PC for 10+secs a number of times before the port blinks and finally have internet connection.

I'm using a 20m cable if it matters. lol

Wifi is ok as my parents are using their laptops and devices for internet connection.

Sounds silly but thanks!

Sounds like motherboard, unless it's an addon NIC, in which case I ran into the same problem but never found a fix since I stopped using it. It won't be a cable issue.

As a first step, I would suggest testing the cable with another device, trying a different port on the router/switch, or trying another cable with your current setup.

15" MBP TB

AMD 5800X | Gigabyte Aorus Master | EVGA 2060 KO Ultra | Define 7 || Blade Server: Intel 3570k | GD65 | Corsair C70 | 13TB

sorry for the late response, but still, thanks!

mobo or cable  problem

trying to tell myself it's not my mobo =(

will probably get a NIC to save myself this hassle

I would change the cable first, if the problem persists then try unistalling/reinstalling the drivers and if that don't work get an add in card.

i'm using a 20m cable, so I'm kind of hesitant to buy another just to have it lying around afterwards.lol i did try to switch both ends of the cable with the same results. but should that really mean anything?hehe

i have reformatted my pc a number of times and still the same.

will try to get an add in card, though.

thank you guys for the suggestions. as a final troubleshooting method for me, I will try it with my dad's pc let's say in a week or two.

seems I will eventually have to buy that add in card, though.

sucks that my Gigabyte z97m-d3h is quite pricey for me here  :(
