Crazy upwards scrolling?

Ok when I first fire up my PC if I click any menus (like start) the selection thingie just scrolls up really fast through the icons and then if i open a website (i use chrome) and try to scroll down a page it scrolls right back upto the top. this lasts for about 5 mins atm and then goes away. . . . anyone got any ideas? thanks

are you using a laptop? the trackpad could be mental or it could be the nob thing (the thing in the middle of the keyboard that moves the mouse) my laptop does that sometimes but its just moving the cursor up, not scrolling

using mouse, if its a mouse issue im not too bothered as a new one will be here next week.

 

i unplugged mouse and put it in a different port n it was still doing it, its stopped now.

Make sure your drivers are up to date and aren't corrupted, I had a similar issue with my mouse and turned out to be a driver issue like it usually is. also make sure the plug that your mouse is in is clean.

yup, try reinstalling the driver as oddly said

oh ok ye, i have actually just bought a mouse and erm i dont l.ike it so im waitin for another. i will c. . . i did recently do that thing where u take away all accelerators and stuff, but it seems more of a scroll wheel issue than anything?

If you can try using a different mouse and see if the issue still is present then.
