Now this isn't a huge deal but I just bought the new metal gear solid and its a great game. but my fps is around 52-55 when other people running the game are getting 60. I have the latest beta drivers and my cpu is an AMD fx 8350. (before you blame it on the cpu my friend has a gtx 770 and an 8350 and gets a solid 60).

What settings and resolution are you running? my guess if your settings and resolution are more demanding then that of your friends.

Some games do just run better on Nvidia than AMD.

Not true, I run an 8350 and just purchased a 970 (had a 770 before) and I get solid 60, occasional drop to 59 when moving quick to aim at a larger area. with rare drops to 50-55ish but only slight stutters that randomely happen in any games.

I run at 1080p everything extra high except anti-aliasing which is usually 2x because I dont see the point

FoxHound, try turning down anti-aliasing or silencing background activities like anti-vurus

Both the 770 and 970 are Nvidia GPUs....
