So after making a post about CS:GO freezing I was told to clock down my gpu. So I did and to test things out I joined a competitive match, the warmup round went great, when the first round came everything was dandy for the first 10 seconds then it froze again. So I turned off my computer and turned it back on, but the thing is it won't show any video. When I plug in DVI it says there is no signal on the monitor, when I plug in hdmi once again, it says there is no signal on the monitor. I have no clue what just happened or what to do. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Dead GPU.

Thats a little simplistic and not very helpful.

Well, I hope not.

Try trouble shooting abit, if your setup is the same in your sig. Try running off the i7's graphics by removing your display cord from the gpu and putting it in the mobo one. Then remove the gpu from the rig. If it boots into windows then you know the rest of the system is fine. If it doesn't you have more trouble shooting to do.

Is there any chance that you have moved the system in a way that may cause damage? (traveling to uni with it, shipped it, etc)

I just built this. I think the GPU is dead... I've had the GPU for a year now and it has traveled in my old rig. So I did the troubleshooting and it boots without the GPU inside.

yeah your system is fine, the issue is with the gpu, you can probably get it repaired under warranty still if you have the receipt somewhere.

-snip-

Well thank the lord, my GPU isn't dead. I just put it back in to make sure and it booted up like nothing happened. I wonder if my DVI and first HDMI cable are bad. I had to get a second HDMI cable for this to work.
