there's some problem with my steam! two days before i downloaded steam (1.5 mb) .    when i double click on steam some. downloading update comes below that comes a bar and below that it reads downloading update and how much it has completed of 95,597 kbs and then in the middle of it it stops and reads :"steam need to be online to update.please confirm your network connect and try again."

 what to do??please help!

Steam is so buggy I avoid using it these days. I've had to to go and change registry settings, file type extensions and all sorts to get it working before. Needs a good service IMO. Try re-installing or google your issue specifically there's usually someone who's had the exact same issue.
