I'm Looking to build a new PC. I don't relay game much but I want to be able to if I have time.  The main use for the computer would be for Photo editing, Virtual studios, accounting, and autocad.

I am  looking to spend Under $2000.00 and I want the system to be match colors. I am not sure if I should go with a xeon processor or something like a i7 and as fars as a gpu goes I was thinking about getting a cheaper quadro and a Gtx 980 . as fars as parts go I don't mind used or refurbished parts and I don't need the latest gear.

I would like to show you a build, but I have to know

- what colors do you like.

- if you've a favorite case.

- which games you would like to play.

I'm assuming you are going to use adobe and autodesk applications only, are you going to do a lot of 3d stuff? any Maya, Cinema 4D or 3D Max? Give me a sec, I'll get you a build

edit: do you want to start using x99 to take advantage of more cores?

edit 2: do you also want peripherals and monitors to go with that?

I use Photo shop for now the photos are for posting pictures for adds, I use Microsoft visual studio 2013 for programming, quick books, and NI Multisim plus vareous other Microsoft programs

X99 is fine but expensive for DDR4 and im not afraid to go with like an x79 option

no the 2000 is just for the PC

Here's one example. The US site didn't work anymore suddenly for me, so I used the canadian side. Means, that the prices are not 100% correct for you I guess. Not sure what the difference is, as I live in Germany, but I guess it should be a lot cheaper in the USA than it is in Canada.

The rig would be pretty much all black. Simple, but should look nice.

The GTX 970 should fit quite well, as you don't play that often and it is still a very powerful card. You can easily overclock it.

The i7-5820k is a nice six core processor which should help you a lot for your work. Same as the GTX 970, you can also easily overclock it.

Your case was just to expensive to use it. So instead I went with the Corsair 450D. A solid and easy to build in case. Looks nice and simple.

done, this is without windows though and if you need windows, I'll try to find somewhere to squeeze it into. It  was quite hard to get a good editing build at this price, I would personally went with a titan black or a quadro but I just couldn't find the place for it without compromising the other components, the ram choice could be improved to a 32gb set but due to lack of money and me trying to color match everything, I couldn't get 32gb in, other wise, there are plenty of head room for you to put another GPU in in terms of power, if you feel like you need to ask me anything, don't feel hesitant to

fixed it up a little bit, put in a 6 core processor, a x79 motherboard, the h440 and 32gb of ram in traded for the 980 downgraded to a 970 like you asked, you might still want to get a 980 though, I feel like it will help in accelerating your work, as a fellow editor (movie editing for me) I feel like the GPU should be something that you spend more in but your mileage may vary

you might want to get a 6 core processor and 32gb of ram to go with that if you are going to use the rig for editing, it will help accelerate your rendering process and the h100i is not as good as a d14 for cooling although the h100i is water cooling and the d14 is air cooling plus the h100i creates a new risk of having water in your system but its up to you on what you choose

ok so

Go with a 4930K

which would bring me to

$2039.81

adding the 89.00 cooler would break my budget too much for the amount of performance gain

but I think this build looks Doable

If you are using AutoCAD, MultiSIM and Photoshop, it would be silly not to max out the RAM to 64GB.

I don't have the budget for 64 GB

I think 32gb is fine for now although I would put getting another set of 32gb RAM one of the first priorities after you have finished this build
