Need help finding the right keyboard.

So I have been using a Steelseries 7g (black switches) for the last 5-6 years. I absolutely loved this keyboard. The only reason I am replacing it is because the "c" key is starting to double tap occasionally, its been getting worse and worse the past few months. I went out and purchased a Logitech G710+ and I am typing on it currently but it just doesn't feel natural to me, it almost feels kind of gritty and just kind of uncomfortable to type on for some reason. This could just be because I am so used to black switches since I have been using them for so long but what I want to know is if there is anyone else out there that has been a long time black switch user that has switched to a brown, blue, or red switch and how they like it. The only thing in a keyboard I really care about is a good wrist rest, I think that is another reason I used the 7g for so long. That is also one of the reasons I wanted to try the 710+. Money is not really a huge issue, I just want something that is going to last and be comfortable to type on, don't really care about any fancy macro keys, media keys, or even back lighting.

Thanks for the help!

this sound like a vary personal issue that would be best handled by a trip to your local best buy or NCIX to test some of there offerings. But if thats not an option I would look and some of the reviews on the keyboards like the ducky shine 4 or The corsair K70

why would you link a keyboard that's not in stock?

Didn't say he had to get it from there unless either Craigslist or order. Why can't I link something that's not in stock? Its just for reference

I can always keep that one in mind, it looks really nice. I just watched a couple videos on it. Do you think the brown switches will feel any different on that keyboard than it does on the G710+? Because I really don't think I like the way it feels, I've only been typing on it for a couple hours because I literally just got it but so far it just don't feel right. Maybe this is something I will just get used to as time goes on. Thanks so far for the advice.

If you're going to drop Blacks, reds are probably the next best option unless your hands are just too heavy for them. P.S, don't forget to A. Follow your own topic and B. Use the "Quote" button to respond to people directly or chances are you'll never hear back from them (we get a notification if you quote us).

For the G710+ you have to note that is has o-ring dampeners in them which makes them A. Quite quiet and B. A bit... springy when you bottom them out. You won't like this coming from blacks I would assume. Even normal browns will feel too light and too tactile for you I would feel.

If you want a decent MX Black keyboard, the Roccat Ryos will do you wonderfully http://pcpartpicker.com/part/roccat-keyboard-roc12601bk

My account is almost entirely dormant. Hope you all are having a grand time. Many years of fun were had here.

Ok. Well I am going to go back to Best Buy and exchange this keyboard for the K65 to see how I like reds. If I end up not liking that one, then I will return it and order something with black switches. Sorry about not quoting posts and all that, my bad.
