computer won't turn on

Go to solution Solved by technogamer_24,

Built the system outside of the case and it worked perfectly. Now it's in the case and it's up and running smoothly!

So I built a computer, technically a case swap. It was working in the previous case but now it doesn't even turn on. I thought the psu was dead but then I shorted the pins and the fan turned on. I've somewhat figured out the problem though, when the 24 pin is plugged into the mobo and the 8 pin isn't the fans turn on and spin for a second. But when I plug in the cpu power and the 24 pin together nothing happens. All motherboard lights are on and everything seems to be working. Please help me out.

seems like there is a electrical short somewhere in your system, make sure no psu connectors are touching the metal parts of your case.
