I have a Lenovo g500s touch, which supposedly has an NVIDIA GeForce graphics card, but I ran a stress test and it couldn't detect anything other than my motherboard's default graphics. I have occasionally seen hints that I might have the GeForce turned off. The graphics I'm getting are bad. In Windows 8.1, how would I go about checking if it is disabled, and then turning it on if it is?

Just a guy who peaked at building back in the days of the GTX 980. If you see me here, assume i have technical knowledge akin to a committed hobbyist builder back then. If something's changed, you'll need to tell me(nicely plz). I'm probably asking for help with the modern build scene since I have no clue what's going on.

right clicking an exe file should give you the option to choose which gpu to use.

What if do this to open a game launcher? Will the change carry over to the game?
