Hi,

I have a HP ProBook 450 G1, and after installing a set of Windows Updates on Boxing Day, every time I try and open the Intel HD graphics manager the screen goes black and says the display driver crashed and was restarted. If I look in Event Manager it says "igfx" crashed.

If I open Internet Explorer it flashes black 3 or 4 times, and them BSOD's with an error about igdkmd64.sys

From my research I assume this is an issue with the Intel graphics driver. I've tried the following:

  • Installed all Windows Updates
  • Tried a system restore (but it failed to work)
  • Uninstalled the display driver, and re-installed the latest version (from the HP website)
  • Tried opening it in a diagnostic startup (it still crashes)

Any help or advice would be really welcome!

Thanks.
