I just built a new PC without a graphics card. I recently bought a GTX 780 put it in to my computer (I have already got the full installation of windows 8 and all the drivers needed for my computer even the GeForce ones.) This problem occurred: I booted my PC and I get to around the windows login screen and then the monitor goes black for a couple of seconds then the monitor looses signal and then the computer Automatically boots itself where it goes on in a loop of rebooting for about 3 times where the computer dosnt boot but the monitor has no signal.

My specs:

Motherboard - Sabertooth z87

CPU - i5 4690k

CPU Cooler - h100i

GPU - gigabyte GTX 780

PSU - EVGA 750W GOLD

RAM - 2x 4GB corsair vengeance DDR3 1600

Any suggestions?

P.S. I had a different GeForce card in before the new one and didn't change the drivers would that be the cause?

Did you connect all the power cables to the cpu? Triple check them.

Also check if the card is correctly seated.

Did the fan spin before the problem happened? Was it loud?

Is the card used?

Try reassembling the pc outside of the case(the motherboard box is a great place)

if the card fails on the other PC

it may mean the GPU is a dead one

:/ I hope it's not.. Is there a way to fix this w/o replacing it? They cost a lot.

you have warranty for the GPU

just contact the manufacturer and retailler and request for RMA

No I don't think it came with one

call the shop and explain your problem. You are buying an expensive piece of item and if they do not honor your warranty. You can bring them to court.
